There are many Guide Units in the Ballarat District catering for girls of different ages and in different areas.

Each Unit is run by a team of volunteer leaders and has a designated venue for weekly meetings.

The units combine to form the Ballarat District. Sometimes activities and fundraising efforts are organised at a district level. This gives girls the opportunity to see that Guiding extends further than the group of girls they see regularly each week.

When these district activities are organised, there can be hundreds of Guides.  Sometimes we even go to State activities.   Thousands of Guides are there!!  Many local Guides were lucky enough to attend an International Camp in 2010, and there is another in 2013, presenting the girls with the opportunity to interact with Guides from all over the world.
